Privacy policy
What data this site and the Bitease waitlist process, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights under Argentine Personal Data Protection Law 25,326.
Last updated: October 10, 2026 · Version 2026-10-10-borrador
Draft — pending legal review
This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch. Bracketed items in capitals are still pending. If the Spanish and English versions differ, the Spanish one prevails.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The database controller is Bitease, a project in development (“Bitease”, “we”). There is no incorporated company yet: once there is one, we will identify it here.
For any question about your personal data, write to us through the waitlist form.
The waitlist database is registered with the National Database Registry of Argentina's Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP) under number [REGISTRATION NUMBER].
2. What data we process
- Waitlist (only if you join): your email or WhatsApp number, whether you want to buy or lend, the amount range you chose, the language and page version you saw, and a record of your consent (date and time, and the version of the text and of this policy you accepted).
- Your simulation (only if you join): amount, down payment, term, installment and drop margin you simulated, and the bitcoin price at that moment.
- Where your visit came from (only if you join): campaign parameters in the link (utm_*), the referring page and the approximate country our hosting provider derives from your IP. Ad click ids (gclid, fbclid, ttclid) are only kept if you accepted the Advertising category.
- Anonymous counters: we add up how many times each event happens (e.g. “someone moved the simulator”) and which amount, down payment and term ranges are simulated. They carry no identifier, do not keep your IP and store nothing on your device.
- Measurement and advertising (only if you accept them): page views, simulator usage and an anonymous identifier (Google Analytics 4, PostHog); visits and waitlist signups to measure ads (Meta Pixel). See section 8.
- Technical data: your IP address is used for one hour to limit abuse (at most 10 signups per hour) and appears in our hosting provider's technical logs.
Public blockchain data: once the protocol is available, wallet addresses, amounts and transactions are recorded on a public blockchain. Anyone can see them, we do not control them and they cannot be deleted or corrected. We do not link them to your email or WhatsApp.
We do not ask for sensitive data or identity documents at this stage. You do not need to give any data to use the simulator.
3. What we use it for
- To tell you about the launch and relevant Bitease news through the channel you chose (email or WhatsApp).
- To understand demand: which amounts, down payments and terms people want, to decide when and how to launch.
- To record your place on the list.
- To measure which messages and ads work, only if you accepted Measurement or Advertising.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to assess your credit or to make automated decisions that affect you.
4. Legal basis
We process your data with your free, express and informed consent (Law 25,326, sections 5 and 6). You give it by ticking the waitlist checkbox and, for Measurement and Advertising, by accepting those categories in the privacy notice.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge and as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect what we did before with your permission.
Anonymous counters are not personal data. The temporary use of your IP and technical logs are necessary to run the site securely.
5. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that process data on our behalf (Law 25,326, section 25):
- Vercel Inc. (United States): site hosting and services; technical logs.
- Upstash Inc. (region [UPSTASH REGION]): waitlist and anonymous counter database.
- Resend (United States): to send you emails (the welcome email and launch notices). If we use a provider for WhatsApp messages, we will name it here [WHATSAPP PROVIDER]. If enabled, Google (Google Sheets): a copy of the list for the team.
- Only if you accept Measurement: Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) and PostHog Inc. (region [POSTHOG REGION]).
- Only if you accept Advertising: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel). Meta may combine this information with your account under its own policy.
We may also disclose data when a law or an order from a competent authority requires it.
6. International transfers
These providers store or process data outside Argentina, mainly in the United States and, depending on the provider, in the European Union. The United States is not among the countries the AAIP considers to provide adequate protection.
The transfer relies on your express consent (Law 25,326, section 12) and on the contractual data protection commitments of those providers [CONTRACTUAL MECHANISM TO CONFIRM].
7. How long we keep it
- Waitlist and simulation: up to [12] months after public launch, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first. Then we delete or anonymize it.
- Consent record: while we hold your data, to be able to prove you gave permission. For removals we only keep an irreversible code (hash) and the date, not your email or number.
- IP for abuse limiting: one hour.
- Anonymous counters: no limit, since they identify no one.
- Measurement and advertising: per each provider's settings ([GA4 AND POSTHOG RETENTION PERIOD]).
- Hosting technical logs: per the provider's policy.
9. Your rights and how to exercise them
- Access: know what data of yours we hold. Free every six months, unless you show a legitimate interest to ask sooner (Law 25,326, section 14). We answer within 10 calendar days.
- Rectification, update and deletion: correct, complete or delete your data (section 16). We answer within 5 business days.
- Unsubscribe and withdraw consent: stop receiving notices at any time (section 27). Every email we send includes a simple way to unsubscribe.
How to ask: use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or write to us through the waitlist form stating the email you signed up with, with the subject “Remove me from the list”, “Access my data” or “Correct my data”. If you signed up with WhatsApp, message [CONTACT WHATSAPP] from that number. We may ask you to confirm the contact is yours so we do not give your data to someone else.
THE AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION (AAIP), as the Supervisory Authority of Law No. 25,326, has the power to address complaints and claims filed by anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with the rules on personal data protection.
AAIP contact: Av. Pte. Gral. Julio A. Roca 710, 2nd floor, Buenos Aires City, Argentina · argentina.gob.ar/aaip.
If you live in another country (e.g. in the European Union), you may also have rights under your local law. Write to us and we will handle them.
10. Minors
This site and the waitlist are for people aged 18 or over. If we learn a minor left their data, we delete it.
11. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), credential-protected database access and keep only what is needed. No system is infallible: if an incident affects your data, we will tell you and act under the applicable rules.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change it in a meaningful way, we update the date and version above. If the way we use your data changes, we will ask for your consent again.
